December 5, 2018 | It is never a dull moment in these extreme environments, so on days when everything goes your way in the mountains you truly appreciate those moments of tranquility. Days when the wind dies down, the sun comes out and visibility reaches an all time high are the days on expeditions where you feel most comfortable. You can truly absorb your surroundings in awe appreciate the journey and not solely the objective, the summit.
Yesterday the team had a day just like that. After spending two days at Low Camp to wait out high winds and re-energize to make a bid for High Camp, they did just that.
The team is now fast asleep hoping for another perfect day to reach the tallest point at the bottom of the world.
