We have been waiting in Timika now for 3 days, such is life on the expedition trail! Sometimes things are just smooth as silk and you get lucky with the clouds, and sometimes you don’t. The group is remaining patient and we are hopeful that today there may be a chance to get up to base camp to start the climb. The issue has been clouds hanging around the mountains near the whole Carstensz Massif. Always just on the edge of clearing but not really. Lets see what happens this morning with the weather.
