Rest Day At Low Camp
On December 9, the Vinson group climbed up to low camp and settled in on the hard packed snow in the evening. It was a quite nice walk with temperatures around -10 Celsius which is perfect for walking with a pack and sled to make the move.
There was a bit of wind in the early evening but things calmed down for a relaxing sleep. Today is a rest day here and the group took some time to cut blocks for ice walls around the tents.
Looking at the weather, we are not quite sure if a move to high camp will happen tomorrow, but so far everyone is doing well and enjoying Antarctica!
