December 16th:
The first Vinson team of the season reached the summit today ! It was a long haul as they waited 6 days in low camp for poor weather to clear and finally got the break they needed!
The weather was almost perfect for a summit today, clear skies and -19 C. With just some breezy winds on the way up to the top! On the summit ridge however it was quite cold with the wind chill, and so photos were rapid to get down quickly. We snapped this one of the group arriving back to high camp post summit!
