The 2019 July Elbrus expedition is well underway here in the Baksan Valley. Our expedition team all met in Moscow and had some nice city time to visit that fascinating city. We made our way via a domestic flight down to Min Vody and have been based near to the small ski village of Cheget for 3 nights now, having done two different acclimatization trekking days up to 3700 m. Which brings the group to today where we will take the cable car up to the huts and begin the climb itself. Our plan is to do a day of skills and a day of acclimatization and then be ready for a summit attempt.
