The Ski South Pole group finally made it down to Antarctica on Saturday and has been based at Union Glacier for for a couple days getting ready to go. Packing the food bags, testing gear, and making final preparations in the hope that they can fly on Tuesday morning to the Hercules Inlet for the start of the ski trip. Today was a final shake down of packing the sleds and a short ski trip around the area to work out any little tweaks in the systems of with equipment. The group is doing fine and sends greetings back to friends and family way up north.
